Biography
Jansen was sixteen when she joined Apocalypse (the name of the band After Forever in its early days) in 1997. Year 1997 ( MCMXCVII) was a Common year starting on Wednesday (link will display full 1997 Gregorian calendar Three years later the band released its first album, Prison of Desire. Prison of Desire is the debut album of Dutch Symphonic metal band After Forever. Floor's ability to sing both classical and rock music have made her reasonably popular in the metal scene. She has taken sole charge of After Forever's lyrics and vocal melodies since the departure of Mark Jansen in 2002. Mark Jansen, (born December 15 1978 in Holland) is a Heavy metal musician [1] Prior to this, up until the Decipher album, the two would write together. Decipher is the second album from Dutch Symphonic metal band After Forever, released in 2001
Floor started studying music at the Dutch Rock academy in 1999 and entered the conservatory three years later. She is the older sister of fellow singer and Ayreon guest vocalist Irene Jansen, who played "Passion" on The Human Equation.
