Fishlake National Forest is located in south central Utah, USA. The State of Utah (ˈjuːtɔː or) is a western state of the United States. It is named for the largest lake in the forest area and was founded in 1899. The forest covers 1. 4 million acres (5,700 km²) and is split into four districts. The forest lies in parts of nine counties. In descending order of forestland area they are Sevier, Millard, Piute, Beaver, Wayne, Juab, Garfield, Iron, and Sanpete counties. The population in 2000 was 1435 and by 2005 had been estimated to decrease to 1365 Beaver County is a County located in the US state of Utah. As of 2000 the population was 2509 and by 2005 had been estimated to decrease to 2450 Juab County is a County located in the US state of Utah. As of 2000 the population was 8238 and by 2005 had been estimated Garfield County is a County located in the US state of Utah. As of 2000 the population was 4735 Iron County is a County located in the US state of Utah. As of 2000 the population was 33779 and by 2005 was estimated at 38311 Sanpete County is a County located in the US state of Utah. As of 2000 the population was 22763 and by 2005 was estimated at 24044 Forest headquarters are located in Richfield, the closest city of its size. Richfield is a city in and the county seat of Sevier County, Utah, in the United States, and is the largest city in southern-central Utah
