Fish Lake is a high alpine lake (elevation approximately 8,848 ft or 2,697 m) located in the Fishlake/ Southern Wasatch Plateau region of south-central Utah, United States. Based on recent research the lake has an average depth in summer of about 100 ft (30 m) and has been found to be 127 feet (39 m) deep in its deepest known location. [1]

The lake is best known for its sport fishing—particularly its large lake trout (also known as mackinaw). Recreational fishing, also called sport fishing, is Fishing for Pleasure or Competition. Lake trout ( Salvelinus namaycush) is a freshwater char living mainly in Lakes in northern North America. Fish are caught every summer upwards of 25 lb (11 kg). The region sees heavy snowfall in the winter, with snowfall occurring as late as June in any given year. For this reason tourist activity is at its peak in the summer months. Two-room lodges and RV spots are available for rental next to the lake.
