Ficus virens is a plant of the genus Ficus. Carl Linnaeus (Latinized as Carolus Linnaeus, also known after his ennoblement as, May 23 new style (13 May old style 1707 who laid the foundations for Ficus is a Genus of about 850 Species of woody Trees Shrubs Vines Epiphytes and hemi-epiphytes in the family Its common name is White Fig; in the Gun-djeihmi language it is called an-borndi. Like many figs, its fruits are edible.
