Boudleaux was born Diadorius Boudleaux Bryant in Shellman, Georgia and was trained as a classical violinist. Shellman is a city in Randolph County, Georgia, United States. Boudleaux Bryant died in 1987. Felice Bryant remained active writing songs and in 1991 the Nashville Arts Foundation honored her with their "Living Legend Award. " She died in 2003.
