Fatick is the southwest region of the northern outcrop of Senegal. Senegal (le Sénégal officially the Republic of Senegal, is a country south of the Sénégal River in western Africa. Its alternative name is Jinnak Bolon. Ther region is named for its capital city, Fatick. Fatick region is divided into 3 departments:

• Fatick
• Foundiougne
• Gossas
