Farez[1] are an Iranian-American Hip Hop band from Atlanta, Georgia. Iranian Americans are American citizens of Iranian ethnicity or heritage Hip hop is a cultural movement which developed in New York City in the 1970s primarily among African Americans and Latinos. Since March 2005[1] they are signed to Alireza Amirghassemi's Tapesh Records via MZM Records. Alireza Amirghassemi (born September 19 1965 in Tehran Iran is a Persian TV personality music video director producer and Iranian music mogul He liked what he heard but he felt that something was missing. He called on good friend Elton Fahrokh Ahi, the man responsible for the success of Siavash Shams, Andy & Kouros, and Mansour. Siavash Shams ( Persian: سیاوش شمس, born January 26, 1965) often referred to as Siavash Sahneh or Siavash is Andranik Madadian ( آندرانیک مددیان, Անդրանիկ Մադադյան, born April 21, 1958) better known by his stage name Mansour ( born 29 July 1970) is one of the most famous and popular contemporary Persian Musical Artists ever Fahrokh saw great talent in the hot young trio and jumped on board the project. [2][3]The band has three members: Milad, Hafez and Kamyar. The first single (music video[1]) that started their entrance in the mainstream Persian music industry was "1, 2, 3". [4]
The name is an -izzle-style alteration of the name Fares/Farees, of Arabic origin, meaning ‘Knight’, ‘Chivalrous’ or ‘Heroic’. Knight is the English term for a social position originating in the Middle Ages. [1]
