Historical background
The Institute started operations in 1934 and is now one of the oldest law schools in the Philippines. Year 1934 ( MCMXXXIV) was a Common year starting on Monday (link will display full 1934 calendar of the Gregorian calendar. [1]
The Institute has the unique distinction of having two Philippine Senate Presidents served as Dean--Jovito Salonga (1956-1963) and Neptali Gonzales (1976-1986). Early life and education Jovito Salonga was born poor in a remote barrio of Pulo now known as San Miguel in Pasig City on June 22, 1920. [2]
In 2003, the Institute teamed up with the De La Salle Graduate School of Business to offer the JD-MBA program, the first graduate dual program in law and business administration in the country. The De La Salle Professional Schools and Far Eastern University MBA-JD Dual Degree Program or La Salle/FEU MBA-Law is a dual degree program offered by an academic The Ramon V Del Rosario Sr Graduate School of Business is the graduate school for business of the College of Business and Economics of De La Salle University Del Rosario, Sr. Graduate School of Business (DLSPS). This 5-year dual degree program is offered on a trimestral basis at the RCBC Towers, Makati campus. The Institute is housed in the Law Building at Palaypay Conference Hall, with bar review rooms, academic Rooms, and a moot court. The JD-MBA holds classes in the fifth and twenty-fifth floors of RCBC Plaza in Makati City. [6]
