The Fall River Railroad was a railroad in Massachusetts. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts ( is a state located in the New England region of the northeastern United States. It was chartered in 1874, opened in 1875 from New Bedford to Fall River, and merged into the Old Colony Railroad in 1896.
