The Fairchild Media Group acquired the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) broadcasting licence from Chinavision Canada and Cathay TV in 1993 to form Fairchild TV and Talentvision TV respectively. Fairchild Group operates two national ethnic television channels that cater to both Cantonese & Mandarin speaking audiences:

Fairchild Group has a license for a Chinese movie channel - FLS Movie Channel, but has yet to launch the service. Talentvision ( is a Canadian Mandarin language Cable television Specialty channel. The channel is a joint effort between Fairchild and Hong Kong-based broadcaster Long Shong Group who run LS Movie Channel.

Well-known Hong Kong broadcaster TVB owns a minority stake (20%) in Fairchild TV and Talentvision. Television Broadcasts Limited ( commonly known as TVB, was the first over-the-air commercial Television station in Hong Kong.

CHKF-FM is a Canadian Radio station that broadcasts multicultural content including a major Chinese programming block entitled Fairchild Radio at CIRV is a Canadian Radio station, broadcasting at 889 FM in Toronto. CHKG-FM is a radio station in Vancouver, Canada. It broadcasts on the frequency 96 CJVB is a Radio station in Vancouver, Canada which broadcasts multilingual programming at AM 1470 Some radio personalities from Fairchild Radio Toronto - FM 88.9 are being transferred to the new station.
