He was the third Conservative dell'Erbario: Achille Terracciano of Orto Botanico dell'Università di Catania after Peter Romualdo Pirotta and Emilio Chiovenda. The Orto Botanico dell'Università di Catania (16000 m² also known as the Hortus Botanicus Catinensis, is a Botanical garden operated by the University of Emilio Chiovenda ( Rome, May 18, 1871 - Bologna, February 19, 1941 was an Italian Botanist.
