Football Club Ararat Yerevan was founded in 1935. Year 1935 ( MCMXXXV) was a Common year starting on Tuesday (link will display full calendar of the Gregorian calendar. It was called Spartak from 1935 to 1937 and from 1954 to 1962, and Dynamo from 1938 to 1953. In 1963, the club was renamed Ararat, the current name in use by the football club.
