Everybody Cries was the third and final single taken from British pop band Liberty X's second studio album, Being Somebody. Being Somebody is the second album recorded and released by British pop vocal group Liberty X, released in the UK on November An emotional ballad, the single featured a full orchestra. Despite not reaching the same success as their previous singles such as Just A Little, it still remains a fan favourite and showcases the vocal talents of band member Kevin Simm.

The video reflected its January release, showing the band members walking along disused railway lines in English countryside. Behind the band, rubbish was showered, with items such as disused furniture and bicycles nearly missing the band. Safety Organisations attacked the video, stating it encouraged children to play on railway lines.

Following the poor chart performance of their second studio album, two months prior, it had been expected that a more up-tempo track such as 'Watcha' Doin' Tonight' would have been chosen for the third single release. The single was released in the UK in January 2004, charting and peaking at number 13 on the Official UK Singles Chart, somewhat of a disappointment. January 2004: &larr - January - February - March - April - May - June - July - August It spent only a further 2 weeks on the UK Top 40, falling to number 26, then number 39 on its third week of release. It was also a minor hit in France, reaching number 29.
