The European Juggling Convention (EJC), is the largest juggling conventions in the world, regularly attracting several thousand participants. Juggling is a physical human skill involving the movement of objects usually through the air for entertainment (see Object manipulation) It is held every year in a different European city. It is organized by changing local organization committees which are supported by the European Juggling Association (EJA), a non-profit association founded in 1987 in Saintes, France. Saintes may refer to the following places Saintes Belgium Saintes Charente-Maritime, a commune of France in the Charente-Maritime department This article is about the country For a topic outline on this subject see List of basic France topics. [1] Like most juggling conventions, it features a mix of workshops for jugglers, a "renegade" performance performed for participants, and a public show, usually spread out over a period of a week in the European summer. Many countries cities or Juggling clubs hold their own annual juggling convention. Accommodation is usually in the form of tents provided by participants.
