The Euro International school shooting occurred on December 12, 2007 at Euro International, a private secondary school in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. Details
Abhishek Tyagi (14), a student studying in grade 8 was shot dead by Akash Yadav (14) and Vikas Yadav (13).
Akash Yadav used his father's gun to kill Abhishek. Yadav's father left the gun unlocked and Akash brought the gun to school and hid it in the school toilet. After school was over he took the gun to the school bus and shot Abhishek Tyagi four times at close range after handing the gun over to his friend Vikas who shot Abhishek once but missed.
Tyagi was taken to Pushpanjali Hospital with two bullets found in his chest and one bullet found in his head.
It's worth mentioning that the two accused have alleged that the school management and their principal did not take any action against the victim who not only bullied them but had also threatened to kill them.
school authorities had never called the parents of these three students involved in Tuesday's case since they did not feel the need for it
India, more and more people in places like Gurgaon own guns because they are a symbol of power and prestige in caste-ridden and feudal northern India.
Motive
Akash Yadav had gotten into a fight with Abhishek Tyagi and though the fight was resolved by the school authorities Abhishek had vowed to kill Akash. Akash took this threat seriously and decided to act before Abhishek and killed him.
