Eureka Sound () is the high Arctic waterway separating Axel Heiberg Island from Ellesmere Island, in the territory of Nunavut. Axel Heiberg Island is the 31st largest island in the world and Canada's 7th largest island. Ellesmere Island is part of the Qikiqtaaluk Region of the Canadian territory of Nunavut. Nunavut (ˈnuːnəvʊt ( Inuktitut syllabics: ᓄᓇᕗᑦ is the largest and newest territory of Canada; it was separated officially from the Stor Island is located within the sound.
