Eso-Charis was a Christian Mathcore band formed in Fort Smith, Arkansas. In February of 1999, Matthew Putman and Arthur Green left the band to go to Living Sacrifice, who were in both of Living Sacrifice's two last albums before they quit. Cory Brandan went on to the band Norma Jean. The term Norma Jean can refer to several people Norma Jeane Mortensen the given name of actress Marilyn Monroe. Jayson Holmes went on to form the band The Handshake Murders, which also featured Cory Putman as a brief guitarist.
