Eric Sanders (b. 1982-04-11, Great Barrington, MA) is a playwright in New York City. The City of New York At one time an aspiring actor, Eric moved to New York City in 1999 and studied under acting teacher Wynn Handman, as well as at the Stella Adler Conservatory at New York University. New York University ( NYU) is a private, Nonsectarian, Coeducational Research University in New York City.

Sanders is the creator and producer of F*ckplays at the Ohio Theatre and Galapagos Art Space, featuring his play 1. 1-1. 7 (dir. Stephen Brackett); Dread Awakening[1] at the 45th Street Theatre, featuring his play Sleep Mask (dir. Amanda Charlton); and ‘‘Dewey's Nightmare: The Library Play Challenge at the Gene Frankel Theatre, featuring his play Mangina (dir. Kerry Whigham).

Plays include: Ixomia (dir. Stephen Brackett) at the 2007 Crown Point Festival[2]; Faint (dir. Eric Sanders) at the NYC Fringe Festival; Oceanside Parkway (dir. Steven Gillenwater) with Working Man’s Clothes[3] (American Place Theatre); Oblivia (dir. Pat Diamond) at WMC's Binge Festival 2006 (Jimmy's No. 43), Andhow! Theatre Company's What's In a Theme? (Connelly Theatre), and the Sam French Festival 2007 (American Theatre of Actors); Lords of Chaos, pt. 1 (dir. Julie Rossman) at WMC's Binge Festival 2007 (Jimmy’s No. 43); The Underground Ocean (dir. Matthew Hancock) at Vampire Cowboys' Revamped 2007: Sci-Fi Fairy Tales (The Battle Ranch); The Baby Gap (dir. Mike Batistick) at adobe theatre company's 24-Hour Plays (Ohio Theatre); Skin Maps (dir. Ara Beal) at Cardboard Box Collaborative's Lock-In Festival 2007 (Plays and Players Theatre in Philadelphia).

Readings include: The Hillside and It's a Dry Heat (both dir. Jeremy Dobrish) at Primary Stages; Heartless (dir. Pat Diamond) at the York Theatre Company; The Wendigo (dir. He has read and performed his work at WordFest 2007, the Galapagos Art Space SMUT series, the John Houseman Studio Theatre, the American Place Theatre (with Studio 42), the Irish Arts Center, the Marquee Theatre, and many others. Behind the scenes, he was the Associate to the Producer on Glengarry Glen Ross, Enchanted April and The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, and most recently he was the Associate Producer to Robert Ahrens on Xanadu.
