Bogosian, an Armenian American, was born in Woburn, Massachusetts, the son of Edwina, a hairdresser and instructor, and Henry Bogosian, an accountant. An Armenian-American is an American whose ancestors hail either wholly or partly from Armenia. [1] After graduating from Oberlin College, Bogosian moved to New York City to pursue a career in theatre. Oberlin College is a private Liberal arts college in Oberlin Ohio. The City of New York Bogosian has been married since 1980 to Jo Anne Bonney, with whom he has two children.
As a performer, Bogosian has a very distinctive style. His one-man shows are a minimalist blend of dark comedy, geopolitical commentary, and social realism.
