Enteroclysis , is a fluoroscopic X-ray of the small intestine. Fluoroscopy is an imaging technique commonly used by Physicians to obtain real-time moving images of the internal structures of a patient through the use of a fluoroscope X-radiation (composed of X-rays) is a form of Electromagnetic radiation. In Biology the small Intestine is the part of the Gastrointestinal tract (gut between the Stomach and the Large intestine, and comprises Radiocontrast is infused through a tube inserted through the nose to the duodenum, and images are taken in real time as the contrast moves through. Contrast medium Radiocontrast agents (also simply contrast agents or contrast materials) are compounds used to improve the visibility of internal bodily structures In Anatomy of the Digestive system, the duodenum is a hollow jointed tube about 25-30 cm (10-12 in long connecting the Stomach to the Jejunum Enteroclysis is also known by the confusing misnomer "Small bowel enema".

It is the gold standard for evaluating small bowel diseases like Crohn's. CT enteroclysis is now available which combines the advantages of CT (ample extraluminal information and visualization) and conventional enteroclysis (distension of small bowel for visualization). A report (Am J Roentgenol. 2005;185:1575-1581) suggested CT enteroclysis to be superior to conventional enteroclysis in evaluation of symptomatic Crohn's disease, especially for the detection of fistula, abscess, skip lesions, lymphadenopathy, and conglomeration of small bowel loops.
