The entrants are usually the winners of national competitions, such as Britain in Bloom or Ireland's National Tidy Town Awards competition. Britain in Bloom is a horticultural competition in the United Kingdom. The National Tidy Town Awards generally refer to the Australian Tidy Town Awards or the National Tidy Town Awards of Ireland. Each competing nations send a judge to examine the other entrants and decide the winner.
