English Institute of Sport (EIS) is a nationwide network of support services, aimed at improving the standard of English athletes. A nation is a Human Cultural and Social Community. In as much as most members never meet each other yet feel a common bond it may be considered England is a Country which is part of the United Kingdom. It is a grant funded organisation, funded through UK Sport. Services include sports medicine, physiotherapy, sports massage, applied physiology, strength and conditioning, nutrition, psychology and performance lifestyle support. Sports medicine specializes in preventing diagnosing and treating injuries related to participating in sports and/or exercise specifically the rotation or deformation of joints or Nutrition (also called nourishment or aliment) is the provision to cells and Organisms of the materials necessary (in the form of food to support Psychology (from Greek grc ψῡχή psȳkhē, "breath life soul" and grc -λογία -logia) is an Academic and It is based at 9 regional hubs and other satellite centres. The administrative headquarters are in Manchester. The EIS is funded by UK Sport and is run by Steve Cram MBE (Chairman) and Wilma Shakespear (National Director). Stephen "Steve" Cram MBE (born October 14 1960, in Jarrow, Tyne and Wear, England) is a retired Wilma was previously an Australian netball world champion player and coach and was also a founder director of the Queensland Academy of Sport.
