Emmanuel Baptist Church of Greenwood Inc. is a small rural country church founded and built in 1953, located at 2511 S. C. 10 (McCormick Highway), west of the city of Greenwood, South Carolina. Greenwood is a city in and the County seat of Greenwood County, South Carolina, United States. The church was under the jurisdiction of a board of trustees (until 1962) composed of three members of the church. The church is still under the full jurisdiction of its members.
Emmanuel Baptist Church is the oldest independent Baptist church in Greenwood County, South Carolina, and still holds the title as a fundamental independent baptist church. The church was officially incorperated with the state of South Carolina in May 2008, this was accomplished 55 years after the churches' founding and organization in Greenwood, South Carolina.
