Electoral district of Evelyn

The Electoral district of Evelyn is an electorate of the Victorian Legislative Assembly covering the urban fringe north east of Melbourne. The seat has shrunk considerably in size as the eastern suburbs of Melbourne grew. Melbourne ( is the second most populous city in Australia, with a Metropolitan area population of approximately 3 It is now based around the suburbs and towns of Coldstream, Gruyere, Lilydale, and Wonga Park. Coldstream is a small town just outside eastern suburban Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Gruyere is a rural locality and wine region in the Yarra Valley beyond Melbourne 's eastern fringe in Victoria, Australia. Lilydale is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The seat is usually safe for the Liberal Party but it was won by the Labor Party during their three landslide victories of 1952, 1982 and 2002. The Liberal Party of Australia is an Australian political party.
