The East Lancs Spryte is a single-decker bus body built by East Lancashire Coachbuilders. East Lancashire Coachbuilders Limited was a manufacturer of Bus bodies and Carriages founded in Blackburn in 1934 It was designed to body the Dennis Dart chassis, but a handful had been built on others, for example, the Volvo B6. The Dennis Dart is a rear-engined Midibus built by Dennis in the United Kingdom. Volvo B6 is a Midibus manufactured by Volvo between c 1991 and 1998 Mechanically and visually, it is a single-deck version of the East Lancs Lolyne, not the Myllennium Lolyne. This article is about the East Lancs Lolyne the East Lancs bus body on the Dennis Trident. This article is about the single decker For links to the full details of the the double decker versions see below.
Like the Lolyne, it continued the line of deliberately misspelt names of East Lancs products. But unlike the Lolyne, which survived through the Myllennium series as the Myllennium-Lolyne, the Spryte didn't. This article is about the single decker For links to the full details of the the double decker versions see below. Instead, it was replaced by the single-deck Myllennium, sometimes called the Myllennium-Spryte but that is not its official name. This article is about the single decker For links to the full details of the the double decker versions see below.
