Earl L. Vandermeulen High School, commonly referred to as Port Jefferson High School, is part of the Port Jefferson School District. Located in Port Jefferson, New York, Port Jefferson High School was constructed as a work relief program by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The Incorporated Village of Port Jefferson is located in the town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County New York on the North Shore of Long Island New York ( is a state in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States and is the nation's third most populous Civilian Conservation Corps ( CCC) was a Work relief program for young men from unemployed families established on March 21, 1933, by U Later, it was renamed in honor of former Principal Earl Vandermeulen. In 2006, it was placed 96th on Newsweek Magazine's Top 120 Schools list.

Mission

Earl L. Vandermeulen offers an educational environment which promotes enrichment programs and advanced placement courses. Numerous opportunities are available for accelerated students in courses ranging from math to computer technology. Earl L. Vandermeulen helps students not only to succeed academically, but integrates extracurricular activities into student's educational careers.

Earl L. Vandermeulen offers athletics at the varsity and junior varsity levels. Varsity athletics are divided into three different seasons:
