Elvis Aron Banks was born to Susan Banks and Stefano DiMera on February 21, 1997. Susan Delilah Banks is a Fictional character on the Soap Opera Days of our Lives. John Black DiMera (real name Forrest Alamain, birth name Ryan Brady) is a Fictional Susan found that Kristen was a cruel person and then tried to take her place. She almost married John but when the wedding didn't go through, she fell for Edmund Crumb. Susan married Edmund and moved to England. 2006
Known to all as EJ Wells, international race car driver, he came to Salem after years of being away, supposedly in order to do his father's bidding. The town of Salem is the setting for the US Soap opera Days of our Lives. He moved in to the apartment across from Sami Brady and Austin Reed and soon became friends with Sami, Austin, Lucas Roberts, and Carrie Brady. Samantha Gene "Sami" Austin Reed is a Fictional character in the Soap opera Days of our Lives portrayed by Patrick Muldoon from 1992 to 1995 and Lucas Desmond Horton (previously Roberts) is a Fictional character on the American Soap opera Days of our Lives. Carrie Reed (Born Caroline Anna Brady; previously Roberts) is a character on the television drama Days of our Lives. Austin and Sami were engaged and planning to wed before the end of the summer. Sami and EJ became close friends quickly when he helped her when she was being blackmailed. EJ tried to convince her to tell Austin the truth and was there for her when several blackmail notes arrived.
After Austin left town, EJ moved in on Sami and started the process of getting her to trust and fall in love with him. It appeared as though he really cared for her, but when Lucas started realizing that he was still in love with Sami, he and Will succeeded in breaking up EJ and Sami before they got too close. During the time that they dated, EJ started Mythic Communications with Kate Roberts and the two had a short-lived affair.
While Marlena Evans and John are in Italy, they found out that EJ is Stefano DiMera's son from a family photo of EJ, his father, and his mother found on Stefano's bed table. Dr Marlena Evans (formerly Craig, Brady, Bradford, Black, Black and North) is a Fictional character on After the revelation of who EJ is, John instructs the Salem PD to try and connect EJ to the death of Officer Eve Michaels. There has yet to be any connection established.
EJ is lured by Sami to a warehouse one night where he meets up with John. It appears as though he shot John Black, and the crime is witnessed by Tek Kramer, an ex-cop from the Salem PD. EJ doesn't notice Tek and tries to leave Salem through the road block. He eventually finds Sami on the road. She's on the road seeking help for Lucas, who has his leg pinned by a beam from the collapse of the roof of the cabin in which they are taking refuge.
EJ holds a gun to Sami and demands she take him through police barricades. She agrees but wants something in return. After they get through police barricades, Sami demands that he help her with Lucas saying she will do anything for his help. EJ wants her to have sex with him in exchange for helping Lucas. Reluctantly, she agrees to it, knowing that Lucas might die.
2007
After the ordeal with EJ, Sami keeps the deal she made with EJ a secret from everyone even after she finds out that she is pregnant. Since she made love with Lucas earlier that same evening, the father of the child is unclear. Sami goes through lengths to conceal her pregnancy from EJ, but when EJ finds out, he demands that she have an amniocentesis so he can find out if he is the father or not. Sami refuses.
EJ "bumps into" Sami and Lucas on their honeymoon in New Orleans where they end up at Maison Blanche, a DiMera family home. EJ and Sami talk while Lucas is off helping a neighbor, and EJ admits that he raped Sami. He apologizes and asks her to let him earn back her trust. Later at Maison Blanche, Celeste Perrault performs a voodoo ritual to find out the paternity of the child. Celeste Perrault is a Fictional character on soap Days of Our Lives. Celeste's ritual determined that EJ was the father of Sami's baby.
Since returning from New Orleans, EJ has saved Sami's life three times now and has gone against his family to protect her much to the dismay of her husband as well as his cousin André DiMera, and his father. André DiMera is a Fictional character on the Soap opera Days of our Lives. He has been branded an outcast by André and is in danger of being killed by him. At a DiMera family meeting, Stefano entreats EJ and André to put their differences aside for the good of the family. The two reluctantly embrace to appease their father. After the meeting concludes Stefano privately reveals to EJ that there is a special reason that he loves him so dearly. He shows his youngest son a picture of Santo DiMera, Stefano's father. Santo DiMera is a Fictional character on the Soap opera Days of our Lives. EJ looks exactly like his grandfather.
During an amnio test to establish paternity of her child, Sami discovered she was having twins. Oblivious to the fact the paternity test was altered, Sami believes that EJ is the father of both of her babies, a boy and a girl. During an alternative test, results indicates that Lucas Roberts is the father of the twins, and not EJ. After the twin's birth, EJ noticed the twins looked nothing alike disregarding the fact that they were fraternal twins. Sami's mother, Marlena convinced Sami a final DNA test should be done to have full details on the babies' genetic history. Dr Marlena Evans (formerly Craig, Brady, Bradford, Black, Black and North) is a Fictional character on The DNA test revealed that Sami's daughter was indeed Lucas' but John Roman is EJ's son. On November 9, 2007, Sami and EJ were married in a ceremony attended only by the bride, the groom, and the groom's father Stefano, along with three unknown gunmen (or gunwomen). Stefano DiMera (alias the Phoenix) is a Fictional character, a villain on the American Soap opera Days of our Lives Immediately after being pronounced husband and wife, three shots rang out on of which struck EJ in his lower back, lodging in his spine. EJ was rushed to the hospital where emergency surgery was performed. The doctors were unable to remove the bullet leaving EJ paralyzed from the waist down. EJ is in recovery and is moving his legs and walking short distances. He has more progress to make and the full extent of the damage from the bullet is unknown. As of Christmas, it appears Lucas was EJ's shooter.
2008
EJ has vowed to become a better man if only he can have Sami by his side. He even stood up to Stefano and refused to allow him to see Johnny without supervision, suspecting that Stefano would take Johnny out of the country. EJ played the hero once again when he got himself arrested in order to save Lucas from being killed by Carmine, Stefano’s bodyguard, in prison. Soon after the incident, he was horrified to discover that Stefano and Rolf's "houseguest" was none other than John Black and discover his father wasn't the man he thought he was. He reluctantly decided to tell the Brady’s about this in order to prove that he was a better man. He has since asked Sami to stand by him in fighting against his father.
Sami and EJ are still married, but were going to get a divorce when EJ discovered he was about to be deported, because of some visa problems. They have moved in together to prove to the immigrations officer that they are a loving family. EJ also has a law degree and has joined Mickey Horton's firm. He has taken on his first case, which he is defending no other than Nicole Walker Kiriakis, which Sami cannot stand.
On May 15, 2008, EJ and Sami have their first real conversation about the night that Johnny was conceived.
