Notes
- For a list of songs featured in this episode, see List of songs featured on The Office.
- John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer had a major laughing fit during the lunchroom scene with Michael. John Burke Krasinski (born October 20, 1979) is an American Actor, Film director and Writer. Jenna Fischer (born March 7, 1974) is an Emmy Award -nominated American actress, best known for her role as Pam Beesly in the Jenna stated she was amazed they were able to cut the scene together. [1]
- When in the lunchroom Michael mentions that he misses the parties he used to go to at college, even though other episodes ("The Fire", "Business School") establish Michael as not having gone to college. The story was most likely made up in an attempt to get invited to Jim's party, especially since Michael makes a point that the professors (and by analogy, the boss) were invited.
- Fischer's favorite moment of this episode is when Phyllis sings Karaoke. [1] Although her character sings Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again," the actress Phyllis had never actually heard of the band and practiced for days beforehand before the scene was filmed. Whitesnake are an English Hard rock band founded in 1977 by David Coverdale (formerly of Deep Purple) Fischer and Angela Kinsey stated everyone on the set was laughing. Angela Kinsey (born June 25, 1971) is an Emmy Award -winning American actress [2]

- Angela Kinsey improvised the line (outside with Dwight at the party), "I think that's all right. I mean, Jesus drank wine. Jesus of Nazareth (7–2 BC / BCE —26–36 AD / CE) " She was apparently very surprised it made it in the final cut of the episode. [2]
- Dwight and Angela are actually making out in a small dollhouse in Jim's backyard. There was a scene that was cut that explained that it belonged to the people Jim rents the house from. [3]
- Kate Flannery, playing Meredith drunk at Jim's party, jokingly pretended to pull her top up at the camera. Kate Flannery (born June 10, 1964 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American actress who plays the role of Meredith Palmer Although the scene wasn't used, the writers wrote the topless gag multiple times in later episodes. Flannery states, "I think I did it to myself, unfortunately. My parents are real thrilled about that. "[4]
- With this episode, the US version of The Office officially surpassed the British counterpart in total number of episodes including two Christmas specials.
- In the Evite for Jim's BBQ, the time and date of the party was November 5 at 8pm. Evite is a social-planning Website for creating sending and managing Online invitations The address was 2147 West Silverlake Drive. (The date is a production error, because November 5, 2005 was a Saturday even though the episode takes place on a Friday, as confirmed by Michael in the opening scene. )
- During the improv class, Michael changes his name from Agent Michael Scarn to Agent Michael Scoon. By doing this, Carell camps up Michael Scott's improvisational ineptitude.
- During Michael's rendition of "Islands in the Stream", Toby plays Halo 2 on Jim's Xbox with the IT Guy. " Islands in the Stream " was a 1983 hit Country music single for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, written by the Bee Gees. Halo 2 is a Science fiction First-person shooter Video game developed by Bungie Studios. The Xbox is a sixth-generation Video game console produced by Microsoft Corporation. The game's HUD with its signature radar orb in the left hand corner of the screen is clearly visible. Both players appear to be equipped with the shotgun. At around 18:10, it is easily verifiable.
- Both Dwight's and Angela's shoes are featured prominently. Dwight's are Birkenstocks upon which Jim's roommate Mark remarks. Angela notes on the porch that she got sap on her shoe and the camera pans down to show them. When we see a couple making out when Jim and Michael sing their duet, the pairs of shoes shown give proof that the couple is indeed Dwight and Angela.
- At the start of the tour, Jim reveals to Ryan that he hasn't talked with Katy for some time, foreshadowing their eventual break-up in "Booze Cruise".
- Sadiq, the IT Guy returns in the season four episode Fun Run. "Fun Run" is the first episode and Season premiere of the fourth season of the American Comedy television series
- When the IT Guy searches for emails containing "Michael, Boss, and Funny" the email that shows up is from Stanley, with the subject "Tonight's Poker Party".
