Durham-Sud, also known as South Durham, is a small farming community in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, west of Richmond and south of Drummondville. The Eastern Townships ( French: Cantons de l'Est) is a historical region in south-eastern Quebec, lying between the former seigneuries south of Quebec (kwɨˈbɛk Richmond, population 3336 (2006 is a town nestled amidst rolling farmlands on the Saint-François River between Sherbrooke, Quebec and Drummondville Early settlers of the area were Scottish and Irish immigrants who arrived mostly in the 18th and 19th century and found the area to be good for farming.
