As Wonder Woman was going about her day, she began to experience sudden fits of invisible attacks and strange feelings whenever she saw her reflection.
The sudden, unexpected invisible attacks tripped her up and compromised her superheroics. As she sought to reclaim her magic lasso from a bank-robbing gang's getaway car, lightning struck the lasso and sent her tumbling over a bridge. As she fell, the storm went away, and she suddenly realized the scenery was entirely different.
Wonder Woman immediately encountered a duplicate of herself, whose name Princess Tara Terruna translated as Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman realized that she had crossed over to a parallel earth, where she had a multiversal twin, even though the setting of the world was less modern or technologically advanced.
Tara Terruna's land had been taken over by the tyrannical Duke Dazam, and Wonder Woman eventually realized that the invisible attacks had been her experiencing Tara Terruna's attacks.
The two Wonder Women joined forces to overthrow Dazam. When lightning again struck the magic lasso, Wonder Woman was transported back to her own earth.
