Drongan is a village in East Ayrshire, Scotland with a population of around 3000. East Ayrshire ( Siorrachd Inbhir Àir an Ear in Gaelic) is one of 32 Council areas of Scotland. In it it has one primary school, 2 pubs, a spar grocers, a premier shop, a cafe, bookies, hairdressers, bakers, doctors, dentist, and police office amonst many other things. There used to be a station but that was closed after the mining ceased and is now a house. Drongan is situated 8 miles from Ayr and 10 miles from Cumnock.
