Song Interpretation

Rivers writes yet another analytically challenging song to many listeners. However, one theory is that they are singing about someone close who has an addiction. Dope is a slang term for heroin. Cheese is also a slang term for heroin. "For the times that you wanna go and/ Bust rhymes real slow/" could be referring to wanting to go and get a hit. Heroin is a depressant of the central nervous system, "Busting rhymes real slow/" could be referring to the drug's effect. "I'll appear, slap you on the face" could be the addicts or a friends will to overcome addiction.

Cheese heroin is a slang term for form of heroin which can be snorted. "Dope nose" could mean "heroin nose. " This evidence makes it believable that "Dope Nose" is related to heroin addiction.
