During promotion for the film, Donna and Gazzara appeared on The Merv Griffin Show. The Merv Griffin Show was a long-running American Television talk show, starring singer Merv Griffin. During this time she continued dancing, and married actor Ted Bessell, best known for his role on the sit-com That Girl. Ted Bessell ( March 20, 1935 &ndash October 6, 1996) was an American Television Actor. That Girl is an American Television Situation comedy that ran on ABC from 1966 to 1971. They were divorced in the eighties.
