Amato's early piano studies included renowned teacher and virtuoso, Ozan Marsh. Ozan Marsh ( June 25 1920 in Pasadena, California - March 15, 1992) was a Pianist active in concert performances In the early 1980's, Amato traveled to Europe to study with Louis Kentner in London and with Gaby Casadesus in Paris. Louis Kentner ( July 19, 1905 &ndash September 23, 1987) was a Hungarian, later British, Pianist who excelled Gaby Casadesus ( August 9, 1901 - November 12, 1999) was a French classical Pianist and teacher born in Marseilles, Paris (ˈpærɨs in English; in French) is the Capital of France and the country's largest city Donna also received a scholarship to play for Guido Agosti's masterclass series in Siena, Italy resulting in the series highest honor, the discretionary Diploma d'Onore. Signed composers Donna Amato Joseph Banowetz Amato has also been performing the works of Ethelbert Nevin, famed composer from her hometown of Edgeworth PA. She has compiled a masterful list of Nevin's works and has performed them both in the studio and live in performances in her home town.
