Amato's early piano studies included renowned teacher and virtuoso, Ozan Marsh. Ozan Marsh ( June 25 1920 in Pasadena, California - March 15, 1992) was a Pianist active in concert performances In the early 1980's, Amato traveled to Europe to study with Louis Kentner in London and with Gaby Casadesus in Paris. Louis Kentner ( July 19, 1905 &ndash September 23, 1987) was a Hungarian, later British, Pianist who excelled Gaby Casadesus ( August 9, 1901 - November 12, 1999) was a French classical Pianist and teacher born in Marseilles, Paris (ˈpærɨs in English; in French) is the Capital of France and the country's largest city Donna also received a scholarship to play for Guido Agosti's masterclass series in Siena, Italy resulting in the series highest honor, the discretionary Diploma d'Onore.
