Dongseo University is a major private university in the South Korean port city of Busan. Hanja is the Korean name for Chinese characters. History
The university was founded by Sung Man Chang (장성만) and the Dongseo Educational Foundation. It opened in 1992 as DongSeo College of Engineering (동서공과대학). Year 1992 ( MCMXCII) was a Leap year starting on Wednesday (link will display full 1992 Gregorian calendar) Its status was raised to that of a university the following year.
