Donald Graves is a writer and historian specializing in Canadian military history.

Educated at University of Saskatchewan, he has worked as a historian for the National Historic Sites Service, the National Archives of Canada and the Canadian Forces. The University of Saskatchewan ( U of S) is a Coeducational public Research university located on the east side of the South Saskatchewan Library and Archives Canada (in French: Bibliothèque et Archives Canada) is a Canadian federal government department responsible for the collection He is currently the Managing Director of the Ensign Heritage Group. He served briefly in the Canadian Army militia. Land Force Command ( LFC) is responsible for army operations within the Canadian Forces.

His work has been widely praised. A review by Jon Latimer in Times Literary Supplement (13 April 2007) declared: "Donald E. The Times Literary Supplement (or TLS, on the front page from 1969 is a weekly literary review published in London by News International Graves is probably Canada's foremost military historian. "
