Domanski was born and raised on Cape Breton Island. Cape Breton Island ( French: île du Cap-Breton - formerly île Royale, Scottish Gaelic: Eilean Cheap Breatuinn, Published and reviewed internationally, his work has been translated into Czechoslovakian, Portuguese, and Spanish. [1] In 2007, he was the winner of the Governor General's Award in Poetry.
