On April 1, 2008 the channel was relaunched and got a new logo. The new logo consisted of a box and the letters "Sc", similar to the boxes of the periodic table. The periodic table of the chemical elements is a tabular method of displaying the Chemical elements Although precursors to this table exist its invention is Discovery Science in the UK and The Science Channel in the United States had already adopted similar logos.
