Dipterocarpaceae is a family of 17 genera and approximately 500 species of mainly Tropical lowland Rainforest Trees The family name from The species is named derived from Latin (crinitus = having tufts of long weak hair) and refers to golden-brown bristle-like hairs that cover the plant parts[1].
