The Italian Catholic diocese of Cerreto Sannita-Telese-Sant'Agata de' Goti, in Campania, has existed since 1986. Campania is a region of Southern Italy in Europe. The region has a population of around 5 In that year the diocese of Sant'Agata de' Goti was united into the historical diocese of Telese o Cerreto Sannita. The first bishop of Telese mentioned is Agnellus (487). Telese Terme, called simply Telese until 1991 is a city in the Province of Benevento, in the Campania region of southern Italy. Having fallen into decay, the town was rebuilt in the ninth century. From the tenth century it was subject to the Archbishop of Benevento.
