Derek White is an American writer of daring, surreal and absurdist poetry and fiction, a visual artist, author of the review website 5cense, editor of Calamari Press, and publisher of the avant-garde literary & poetry journal Sleeping Fish. Derek White is a former Scotland international Rugby union player. The United States of America —commonly referred to as the Absurdism is a Philosophy stating that the efforts of humanity to find meaning in the Universe ultimately fail (and hence are absurd because no such Calamari Press is an American small-press book publishing company founded in 2003 by Derek White. He lives and works in New York City.
