Denmark took part in the first Eurovision Dance Contest in 2007. The couple representing the country, Mette Skou Elkjær & David Kim Ehlers Jørgensen, were chosen on a live national selection event on 24 August 2007. The dances they performed at the contest were Rumba and Showdance. Denmark came ninth after receiving 38 points from 10 countries.
