Biography

Denise Karbon debuted in Alpine Skiing World Cup in 1998, while the following year she was Junior World Champion. The alpine skiing World Cup is a circuit of Alpine skiing competitions launched in 1966 by a group of ski racing friends and experts which included French journalist She won a total of six World Cup giant slalom: in 2003 at Alta Badia and, in late 2007, the five out of the first six races in the 2008 Alpine Ski World Cup. Alta Badia is a ski resort in the Italian Province of Bolzano-Bozen. The 2008 Alpine Skiing World Cup began on October 27, 2007 with a ladies' Giant slalom in Sölden, Austria and concluded She has also obtained a total of other 7 podium placements.

In 2003 Karbon won a silver medal at the World Championships in Giant Slalom, followed by a bronze in 2007 in the same discipline. The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2003 were held in St Moritz, Switzerland, from February 2 - 16, 2003.

Karbon in season 07/08 got 5 out of 6 wins and one third place with 560 points in giant slalom.
