Originally founded as 'Patrician Brothers, Granville' in 1942, Delany College currently caters for approximately 550 students from years 7 to 12, and is a school of the Diocese of Parramatta. Delany College was established in 1942 as Patrician Brothers' High School, a catholic, all-boys' school catering for students in Years 7 to 10. Single-sex education ( SSE) is the practice of conducting Education where male and female students attend separate classes or in separate buildings
The school became a Years 7 to 12, co-educational college in 1997, in order to meet the changing needs of the local community. The school was subsequently renamed Delany College after the Patrician Brothers' founder, Bishop Daniel Delany.
