Defence Services Technological Academy is an institution for the undergraduate education of officers of Myanmar Armed Forces and is in Pyin-Oo-Lwin, Mandalay, Myanmar. Mandalay is the second largest city and the last royal capital of Burma (Myanmar and is the economic and cultural hub of Upper Burma Burma, officially the Union of Myanmar ( pjìdàunzṵ mjàmmà nàinŋàndɔ̀ is the largest country by geographical area in mainland Southeast Asia. Description
The DSTA campus is in Wet-Won, Pyin-Oo-Lwin, Mandalay Division on the Highway of Mandalay-Lasho, and opposite side of the town where Defense Services Academy located at. Students at the DSTA are referred to by their military rank (Cadet). Upon graduation, most DSTA Cadet are commissioned as Lieutenants in the Myanmar Army, Myanmar Navy or Myanmar Air Force, and serve as Engineer Officers. As of January, 2007, no women cadets are accepted for DSTA. The rector of DSTA is Brigadier General Win Myint since the school was established. He serviced till 15th Intake of DSTA. Now Brigadier General (please fill up) is serve as rector.
Most DSTA graduates kept on studying for their graduate level courses at Yangon Technological University, and Mandalay Technological Universities. 30% of the graduates go to Russia, and studying Master course for Master Of Engineering (ME).
Cadets learn basic military skills, including leadership, through a military program that begins on their first day at DSTA. This article refers to the general definition of cadet A Cadet may also be a member of the Cadets, a historical Russian Political party. Most military training takes place during the cold season, with new cadets undergoing Cadet Basic Training - or Beast Barracks - the first year, followed by Cadet Field Training at the second year. Additionally, cadets are housed in barracks and have leadership positions and responsibilities throughout the academic year. On Holiday (Informal) Cadet can go out to downtown as out pass for 1 day ( 1st Yr- 4th Yr). Only Final Year cadets can suffer all hole 2 holidays as out pass. Cadets (from 1st Yr to 4th Yr) suffer one day for out pass and one day for fatigue.

Commissioning At every end of year (around December 19)

Battalion Cadet battalion is divided into "Anawrahta" and "BaYintNaung" battalion. A battalion is a Military unit of around 500-1500 men usually consisting of between two and seven companies and typically commanded by a Lieutenant Colonel Each battalion redivide into 10 Company, name as No. 1 company . . . accending to No. 10 company. Each company structure is the same as Myanmar army.
