Dawn Landes is a New York-based musician who performs under her own name. She is also a sometimes-member of the band HEM and has worked as an audio engineer at Stratosphere Sound in New York City and at Philip Glass' own personal recording studio. Having just released Fireproof in March of 2008, Landes is actively touring to support its release. Cooking Vinyl is a UK -based Independent record company, founded in 1986. She has been enjoying much critical success and has done a variety of radio performance including NPR's World Cafe. World Cafe is a two-hour long nationally syndicated music Radio program that originates from WXPN, a non-commercial station on the campus of the University Landes has made videos for two songs from Fireproof: one for "Bodyguard" and one for "Twilight".
Landes has shared the stage with artists such as Josh Ritter, Suzanne Vega, Jose Gonzales, Feist, The Weakerthans, Andrew Bird, Midlake and many others.
