Dawlat Yar is a district in Ghor Province, Afghanistan. The provinces of Afghanistan are divided into districts ( Walaswalai) Afghanistan /æfˈgænɪstæn/ officially the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan ( Pashto: د افغانستان اسلامي جمهوریت, It was created in 2005 from the southeastern part of Chaghcharan District. Chaghcharan district is one of the most populated districts in Ghor Province (115000 in 2005 The administrative center of the district is Delak, but the largest town is Dawlat Yar () at 2503 m altitude. Delak is the district center of Dawlat Yar district in Ghor Province, Afghanistan.
The population of the district was estimated at 27,800 in 2005. The district is mountainous, with extremely severe weather conditions during the winter causing roads to be blocked with snow for weeks.
