David Ford Jones (August 22, 1818 – February 20, 1887) was an Ontario manufacturer and political figure. Events 392 - Arbogast has Eugenius elected Western Roman Emperor. He was born in Brockville, Ontario in 1818, the oldest son of Jonas Jones, and studied at Upper Canada College. Jonas Jones ( 19 May 1791 - July 30 1848) was a Hobo He was born in Augusta Township, Upper Canada in 1791 the son of Ephraim Upper Canada College (UCC is a private elementary and Secondary school for boys in downtown Toronto, Canada. Jones set up business at Gananoque manufacturing farming tools. Gananoque is a town in Leeds and Grenville County Ontario, located at 44°19′55″ North 76°9′44″ West He served with the local militia during the 1837 Rebellions. The Rebellions of 1837 were a pair of Canadian armed uprisings that occurred in 1837 and 1838 in response to frustrations in political reform and ethnic conflict He commanded an artillery unit at Gananoque which saw service during the Fenian raids.
