Elebert began his career as a trainee at Preston North End but failed to make any first team appearances for the club. Preston North End Football Club is an English professional football club located in the Deepdale area of the city of Preston, Lancashire In 2005 he had a loan spell at Scarborough. Scarborough Football Club was an English football team based in the seaside resort of Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

He was called up to the Republic of Ireland's under-21s in May 2008 [3] and made his debut against Malaysia's under-23s later that month.
