David Briggs is an American keyboardist, record producer and studio owner. In the Music industry, a record producer or music producer has many roles among them controlling the recording sessions coaching and guiding the musicians organizing

David Paul Briggs was born on March 16, 1943 in Killen, Alabama. Killen is a town in Lauderdale County, Alabama, United States. He played his first recording session at the age of 14 and has gone on to add keyboards to a plethora of pop, rock, and country artists, as well as recording hundreds of corporate commercials.

In 1965 he was given the opportunity of recording on sessions for Elvis Presley's album How Great Thou Art when Floyd Cramer was running late. How Great Thou Art is a musical album by the American singer Elvis Presley; it was his first non-soundtrack album recording of new material since 1962's Briggs continued to record and tour with Presley until shortly before his death in 1977.

Briggs and Norbert Putnam opened Quadrafonic Studios in the late 1960s. Norbert Putnam is an American Record producer and Musician. He grew up near Florence Alabama and was part of the Muscle Shoals musicians It was sold in 1976 and Briggs opened House of David.

Artists he has worked with include Elvis Presley, Joan Baez, Nancy Sinatra, Tony Joe White, The Monkees, J.J. Cale, Kris Kristofferson and many others.
